Good game. but pls do better Optimizing performance of graphics. This game deserves to be loved more. I don't understand about all the hates. Sure, it's not a perfect game but you gotta think that this is Big Ant Studio's the first ever tennis game. For a first tennis game from a not that big studio, i'd say it is a decent game.I felt a little bit stiff on gameplay aspect. Shots after shots and player movement aren't feel that smooth. But it's not that horrible. Far from smooth experience but at least it's playable. It's not an arcade game so it will take some time to get used to. But when you get used to control, it gets really fun i guarantee. The problem is the ball goes fast but the player movement is not fast enough to track down balls. And occasionally the rally goes way too long that feels like i'm playing ping pong. The ball physics i think it's not on a good side. Ball bouncing is weird and directions of balls hit by ai are just too predictable. As mentioned, the gameplay overall is not that smooth so does ball it's just feels like i'm playing with hard baseball not playing with soft tennis ball.I'm not saying the ball physics is terrible, it's just not that good either. If you think the variety of licensed players is very poor, you may right about that. But, this game has amazing customization feature for making players and courts plus, you can share it with another players or download another players creations cross-platform. The customization is the strong key to this game. No Federer, no Djokovic? Not a problem. You can download players created by someone else. Each licensed players have their own styles. Kerber's own unique groundstroke, Nadal's serve style, Hyeon Chung's receive style and much more. Thanks to the great customization feature, you can use all of their styles to your own created players. The animations around the game is really good. Devs did very well with motion capture.Performance is not that good in my opinion. Frame rate is smooth but at some point the game becomes laggy as hell. And there is annoying stutter between every cutscenes. Overall the game is not stable when it comes to performance.Online, well, bugger. If you want to play match against a player from overseas, i'd say "Don't even think about it!" 'cause it's a total mess. All those lags, bugs, connection lost, i bet people gonna smash their monitor with their frustrations. Don't play online unless you're gonna play with someone lives nearby or your country.Just give it a try. If you don't like it, just refund it. Honestly, i didn't like the game at first because of hard control, but when i got used to control, i turned my thought about the game. Yeah, the game is not perfect and has some poor aspects (online especially) but the Aussie developers trying hard to make the game decent and updating frequently. This game needs more attention than it has now.. Game is a disapointment..playface is not working for me as promised and expected in fact. Controls are not intuitive, you can't really control player effectively. your player don't play tennis but just hits the ball back to opponent. It is hard to control player positioning, ball placement and choice/power of shots at the same time..all player control concept seems to be a failure to me. Timing/positioning of player while playing is non realistic. To the devs: guys, do something about it otherwise this game gonna fail..Will be looking for refund if possible...sorry guys. AO International Tennis was allegedly created to satisfy the needs of tennis fans all around the world who strive for a new, fresh tennis game, but it doesn't even get close to doing so. First off, the game has a lot a bugs and sudden crashes, every time you run it having to log into the Big Ant account, which is close to a must if you want to enjoy all game's features.Alongside numerous bugs, the gaming experience is at most satisfactory. Often, players make robotic moves and the shots become repetitive. Cut-out scenes skip time and they seem as you've skipped some scenes yourself before reaching them.Overall, the game is far too expensive for what it delivers: bad coding with lots of bugs, arcadish gameplay, laggy loading. It'd have potential to become a good to very good game if the developer would invest a tad more time in solving the bugs and lags, and also add more players (which seems unlikely at the point, bearing in mind that the developer barely meets most basic needs).. I accidently found AO international tennis had come out on PC and I love it. Doesn't take much playing time to pick up the controls. The players look realiastic and the game play is excellent. I would recommend anyone that is thinking of buying this game to play it on a high end gaming rid. It does have a lot of graphic detail and that is part of it's charm. The only thing I am bummed about. That it wasn't released at the time of the Australian open and that it didn't have likness of my favorite play Madison Keys. I would highly recommend this game to any PC gamer that loves tennis.. Just got it on sale and really suprised there is so many negative reviews I'm having a ton of fun playing it so far.. Waiting for so long for a tennis game I began pretty easy enthusiastic about my first feelings with this game. I streamed more than ten hours thinking that I already need to readjust my way of play from all the classic oldies and thought that I would need to play from lower difficult level to learn. I must say I like to play always at maximum difficult while I'm learning. So after one litle touch on legend, I tried the rookie mode. Thought that I was catched the gameplay tricks so I upgraded my level to amateur,it was fun, I was begining to enjoy it but soon this level got boring me a lot. I jumped to veteran in competition mode and my gameplay was succesfull. Started a career mode in veteran and I began to get frustrated when I understood that it wasn't the difficulty level, it was not about me being exahusted after the first ten hours of gameplay. No guys, I began to notice that was my hype flying away from the reality. In career mode you will notice soon that the game it's not well documented, not so well designed as you think at a first sight, you notice that you can not aim your shots correctly, that the point shot never helps and never means anything close to accurate, you aim in green and the ball goes out the line, you get red point and the ball get's inside, sometimes far to the left other to the right of the point shot. All that you thought to get learned playing in veteran or legend in competition mode got you crazy when you start a career mode with the same player. Then you get into the training label (Usually I don't like the trainers) and you found a boring timemachine bomb training system where your players starts always in the worst position in the arena (this happens for example training your drop shots), you have a limited time to complete the trainings and you really got the idea that you never played a tennis game before. You cannot point correctly your services shots if you don get your pointer shot after you have been taking care about your stamina, less than a second before you drop the ball. Your player simply cannot run and get the ball if you don't use the power shot and when you think your player runs you are just simply snaping where the game lets you to snap. The game decides for you when you don't have any option to get a ball, it's like saying to you: "Hey guy, this shot it's gonna be a wining, just don't move". You don't have any option to try to respond to an ace ball, if its just an ace you will be snaped like an idiot in a far position. The other bad point in this game it's the controls, you have unrealistic options preconfigured that you can not change, you can not use like for example using RS for your shoots. When you move your player (when you snap your player in fact) and get in a good position to get the ball you won't have time to aim in most of the situations, you'll be restricted to use RB+x or RB+B, if you don't you won't ever get the ball. The graphics looks good, good optimization, but when you play in night got bad and worst framerates. You cannot change graphics settings when you are playing so gameover with bad fps.I don't see the point about personalizing your player and being able to set all of your skills at 100%! That's ridiculous if you are going to play online.About career mode I would understand that you would have to improve some of your skils when you choose a player with a poor ranking position, but when you want to start a career with a number 3 with the skills really deprecated you'll waste your time if you play the career in veteran or legend mode. Finally, twenty hours later I have found this game is unplayable for enjoy it if you like career mode and maximum dificulty, down from veteran you will think you are learning the tricks but in fact you've been helped by the iA for play. You will get some fun at pro, amateur and rookie, but soon your opponents will got you bored in the arena. I don't think this could be fixed in following updates, I am a quiet sure it's about a bad desing of the gameplay and that is really sad. I will finish saying that I really believe the developers has put a lot of love and efforts designing this game, but the mechanics I'm so sorry guys, but are pretty pretty wrong for playing a tennis game. I began to play tennis games in 1998 and was waiting for a new game too badly. ;-). So, I am not reccommending this game simply due to the learning curve for beginners. It's a well put together game, certainly has a lot of positives, and has decent visuals. I never played tennis, and the games I used to play on console's are not full tennis games (like Mario Tennis, Wii Sports tennis, and the like). This is a really nice mixture of simulation and arcade, but I always start at the lowest difficulty and I could barely get 1 point (15 in tennis terms). Again, lowest difficulty and still could get passed 30. This is a similar reason I left other games, namely Madden NFL which is a game that loves teleporting the defenders to intercept/swat the ball (Madden 18 has improved a lot since the terrible games they put out since Madden 11). I have basic knowledge on tennis, I should be able to win matches/sets etc. but for some reason you really can't. You can all safely get the demo to try it out before purchasing, (I didn't see there was a demo until after I bought). BUT!!!! My personal reasons are not a reflection of the work put into this game. The creation is very extensive and unique, to the point of making stadiums, clothing, rackets, and characters. The gameplay and animations are decent looking and run smoothly enough, and the port as a whole is decent. If it wasn't for the sheer amount of customization and visuals I'd actually say, against everything, this game is not worth 50 bucks. All things considered I still think 50 is stretching it, but it fits it's price tag 1,000 times better than No Man's Sky does (yes they have fixed a lot in that game, still not worth the price though). So all in all, this gets a 59/100 from me, mainly due to the infuriating AI difficulty leveling at the lowest difficulty.
